Flying Machine has launched!
At last the EP is out there
After much writing, much recording and much emailing, the EP is finally here! I have clutched it in my hand, posted it to people and played it on an actual CD player, so it definitely exists. It's also now officially available in digital form on both iTunes and its more musician-friendly cousin, Bandcamp (the latter is better value for both of us, so well worth a look if you haven't been there before).
The fact that the EP exists at all is thanks to David (Rael), who recorded it, produced it and co-wrote one of the tracks in addition to helping with all sorts of other things along the way. If anyone ever wants a song recording, or just a very sound opinion on almost anything, I can't recommend a better person.
I'd also like to say a big thank you to Ken Borg at Studio Mothership for designing the lovely artwork, and to Anna Curzon, whose beautiful violin playing appears on the title track. Both did a marvellous job interpreting my slightly sketchy ideas and bringing them to life in different ways.
Finally, a huge thank you to all of you wonderful people for the many man-hours of gig-attendance you've clocked up! There would be literally no point in doing any of this if it wasn't for your support, encouragement and faces in the crowd.
This evening I'm headlining at The Troubadour to launch the new tracks, accompanied by a band for the first time. For those who can't make it, I hope you enjoy the recordings on the right in the meantime; and for those who can make it - see you there!
